Who are we?

Susan Swift, founder and Director of Business Talk has over thirty years experience in the fields of ELT, teacher training and communication skills training. She has lived in countries ranging from Italy to the Middle East to Japan, and has worked in companies, universities and private language schools. She is the author of a number of ELT textbooks aimed at primary, secondary and adult learners, and has most recently completed the series Playtime, Storytime and Kidstime (Sn@il Publishing) for the Italian Scuola Primaria. She has a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading, and is an Assessor for the UCLES DELTA scheme.

Adelio Cordini (partner) is responsible for all administrative aspects of Business Talk. Prior to forming the company together with Susan, he had worked for many years as a manager in various European companies.

Our trainers and translators are all highly qualified, with many years' experience in their field. Many of our trainers have also had experience of working in management positions in industry both in Italy and abroad, which allows them to relate more closely to the needs of our course participants.

Business Talk is committed to the concept of life-long learning and we are constantly updating our professional skills, whether through membership of professional organisations, attendance at conferences and seminars, on-line training, or keeping up with current publications and ideas. Although a small organisation, our aim is to become recognised as a centre of excellence in our field, and to provide you, our clients, with the highest possible quality of service
